As our Client Services Manager, Karen is the friendly force making sure our clients feel valued and our projects stay on track. With a knack for keeping everyone (gently) in line and a passion for travel, rugby, and strong coffee, she’s an essential part of Studio Global. Let’s get to know her a little better...

WHAT'S YOUR NAME AND WHAT DO YOU DO AT STUDIO GLOBAL?

Hi 👋🏻 I’m Karen, Client Services Manager (and unofficial "Chief Nagger"). I make sure our lovely clients are looked after and ensure the team delivers on time—whether they like it or not!

IF YOU HAD ONE WORK-RELATED SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

If I could have one work-related superpower, I’d stop time—just long enough to give the team an extra hour here and there when they need it most.

WHAT LED YOU TO YOUR CURRENT ROLE?

Weirdly, a chance encounter on a beach with Sharon!

Hidden Talent: Not sure I have one… yet! But I’m a huge rugby fan and love watching Bath Rugby as often as possible. COYB! 🔵⚫️⚪️

Quirky Fact: I swore I’d never go camping—ever. But my husband wore me down, and now we have a camper van! We’ve taken some incredible road trips, including two months across France, Switzerland, and Italy in 2022, and a month in Marseille for the Rugby World Cup in 2023. Safe to say, I’ve officially converted!

If you could be any animal for a day,
what would you be and why?

Definitely a cat! 🐈‍⬛ The big cats are so majestic! Powerful, sleek, and strong, yet family oriented with a soft cuddly side! I’ve been fortunate to see lion, leopard, and cheetah on safari and they were absolutely incredible (and a little terrifying) to see up close!

What’s been your favourite memory since joining the team?

I’ve only been here six months, but the Christmas Party was a highlight! It was great to meet the extended team from our partner company, and put faces to names.

What's on your bucket list, that you're determined to tick off?

1. I’ve been lucky to travel to some pretty amazing places (NZ, Australia, Singapore, South Africa, Costa Rica, Canada, US - California/Palm Springs/Las Vegas/New York/Florida), but I still have a long list to tick off. At the top of the list is to visit more of Africa. Hopefully, in the not too distant future, we are hoping to do a road trip starting in Namibia, driving through Botswana and Zambia and ending up at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe!
2. I’ve been on two out of three British and Irish Lions Rugby Tours, New Zealand in 2005 and South Africa in 2009, so it would be great to complete the set and go on tour in Australia.
3. I love wine and even got married at a vineyard in South Africa, but I still can’t read a French wine label properly (it’s an art!!) I’d like to be able to master that, until then, I’ll keep practising! 😊
